The 5th Annual Madison/Marshall County Chapter Touch of Red Gala was an evening of celebration including dinner, dancing to the music of Dave McConnell and Junctional Rhythm and live and silent auctions.  Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, over $94,000 was raised in support of the humanitarian mission of our local American Red Cross! Such overwhelming generosity ensures that Disaster volunteers serving on local Disaster Action Teams (DAT) will be there, responding to over 200 local disasters each year, providing food, shelter and clothing to victims and their families, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.  Caseworkers will service emergency military calls, enabling our men and women in uniform to stay connected to family members during emergencies, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.  Community volunteers serving on Disaster Awareness Response Teams (DART) will deliver vital disaster preparedness information, area children will be cared for by volunteers staffing school first aid rooms, youth volunteers will teach fire safety to small children, hospital volunteers will assist those in need, preparedness instructors will continue to deliver life-saving first aid, CPR and water safety training and much more.

For over 90 years, the Madison/Marshall County Chapter American Red Cross has had local, compassionate partners who continuously demonstrate their commitment to supporting the humanitarian work of our local American Red Cross.
