

EMPLOYEES
COMMUNITY FUND OF BOEING ALABAMA AWARDS GRANT TO THE TENNESSEE
VALLEY REGION AMERICAN RED CROSS
On behalf of member
employees, the Board of Trustees of the Employees Community Fund of
Boeing Alabama recently awarded a grant in the amount of $19,132 to
the American Red Cross. The funds were used to purchase CPR
manikins and AED trainers. The American Red Cross
and the people
they serve will directly benefit from this contribution. The areas
specifically impacted include the Alabama counties of Colbert, Dekalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison,
Marshall, Morgan, and the Southern Tennessee Counties of Lincoln and
Lawrence. The mission of the American Red Cross is to provide
relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for
and respond to emergencies.
Mary
Moreillon, Executive Director for the Madison/Marshall County
Chapter and regional area reports “last fiscal year, over 62,000
residents in the Tennessee Valley area participated in American Red
Cross Health and Safety programs. Age appropriate, life-saving
skills and knowledge are provided through first aid and CPR/AED
training, Lifeguard certification, Learn to Swim classes, HIV/AIDS
education, Babysitters Training, and Pet First Aid.
The
generosity of Boeing and their employees will have a
significant, positive effect in our local communities for years to
come.”

bloodborne pathogens training to swimming and lifeguarding,
HIV/AIDS education and Babysitter's
Training, the Red Cross Preparedness programs help people
lead safer and healthier lives.

Madison/Marshall/Jackson County Chapter trained 10,792 students
in First Aid / CPR / Lifesaving and 6,481
students in Water Safety/Lifeguarding.
