The Latest in Lifesaving Training for Healthcare Providers Like You

Healthcare providers are often the first people to respond to a life-threatening emergency on the job, so it is critical that you have the skills necessary to save a life. American Red Cross training is based on more than 95 years of experience in emergency preparedness and response. And, because the Red Cross works side by side with doctors, nurses, police, fire and other healthcare professionals in all kinds of emergency situations, we know what you need to be the best first responder you can be.

Learn the Skills You Need to Act Quickly and Save a Life

Red Cross training combines discussions and video with hands-on skills training to promote effective learning and keep students motivated. The course is based on real-life rescue scenarios and lessons that reinforce decision-making skills. With CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, you will learn to:

·      Respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants

·      Use an AED on adult and child victims of cardiac arrest

·      Use personal protective equipment to stop bloodborne pathogens and other diseases from spreading

NEW Two-Year Certification for Healthcare Providers

Created to allow greater flexibility for those who maintain professional-level CPR/AED skills, the new two-year certification is available for doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, medical and nursing students, EMTs, dental professionals, respiratory therapists, occupational and physical therapists, athletic trainers and other allied health personnel.
