The American Red Cross prepares people to save lives through health and safety education and training. From First Aid, CPR and Bloodborne Pathogen Training to swimming, lifeguarding, Nurse Assistant Training, Pet First Aid, HIV/AIDS education and Babysitter's training, the American Red Cross preparedness programs help people lead safer and healthier lives. Below are listed some volunteer opportunities


HEALTH & SAFETY SERVICES INSTRUCTORS

Volunteers provide community courses in First Aid, CPR/AED, Nurse Assistant Training, HIV/AIDS Education, Babysitting, Pet First Aid, swimming and water safety.  You can be one of the people reaching out to the community and teaching others to save lives.

First Aid & CPR Instructor training is required, and provided. This volunteer position requires a commitment of at least one year, or more.

 

COMMUNITY EDUCATION PRESENTERS

Community Education Presenters enjoy talking with people and giving out information at community events, in schools, or meetings. These Red Cross representatives help carry out the mission of the Red Cross by helping our community prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. RED CROSS NURSES

If you’re a nurse, help us provide services: Take blood pressures (at the Chapter or at Community events), volunteer in School First Aid Rooms, as a First Aid Responder at Community Events, volunteer as part of our Disaster Services Team, or serve as CPR/First Aid instructors.

 

OFFICE AIDE
Help the mission along. Volunteers are needed to assist with administrative duties, including record keeping, filing, online research, typing, data entry and compiling mailings.
